Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure armed response security services for the warehouse and HAST departments at GJGM Regional Hospital. The services aim to ensure safety and security of hospital assets, medication, and stock, as well as provide 24-hour monitoring and rapid response capabilities.

Scope

The scope includes provision of armed response services for:

• The warehouse located at 115 Mahatma Gandhi Street, Kwa Dukuza, with a response time not exceeding 10 minutes.
• The HAST department at GJGM Regional Hospital, including security for medication storage and related assets.
• The services are to be delivered over a contract period of 36 months (3 years).
• The service provider must be based within 3 km of the respective sites.
• Monitoring must be continuous (24 hours), with staff reporting to hospital security upon entry.
• Staff must be in uniform with proper identification and PSIRA registration is mandatory.
• The contract terminates if the warehouse is relocated.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of armed response services with response times not exceeding 10 minutes.
• Staff must be in company uniform with proper identification and PSIRA registration.
• Monitoring services must operate 24 hours daily.
• Response vehicles and personnel must be equipped to handle security threats at the warehouse and hospital premises.
• Service providers must provide proof of registration with PSIRA, firearm licenses, and relevant compliance documents.
• All staff involved must be properly trained, and non-PSIRA registered personnel are not permitted on site.
• Service providers must report any breakages or security breaches immediately.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified security personnel registered with PSIRA.
• Staff must demonstrate competence in armed response and security protocols.
• Ability to respond swiftly within 10 minutes to security alerts.
• Staff must be able to communicate effectively and report incidents accurately.
• Service providers should have experience in hospital or healthcare security environments.
• Provision of trained personnel capable of handling emergencies, break-ins, and security threats.
