Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to attend to the servicing of the generator at the Mthatha Embassy, ensuring reliable operation and maintenance of the generator as specified in the scope of work and technical requirements.

Scope

The scope includes comprehensive servicing of the generator at the Mthatha Embassy, which encompasses routine maintenance, inspections, repairs, and compliance with relevant standards and specifications outlined in the tender documents. The service provider must provide all necessary personnel, equipment, and materials to perform the work as specified.

Technical Requirements

• Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing of the generator as per manufacturer’s specifications and industry standards.
• Provide qualified diesel mechanics with valid trade certificates and relevant experience.
• Ensure the availability of at least one diesel mechanic artisan and a vehicle with loading capacity of at least half a ton.
• Adhere to safety, health, and environmental regulations during service execution.
• Provide detailed reports on servicing activities, including any repairs or parts replacements.
• Ensure security clearance and confidentiality of all information related to the project.
• Use approved and certified materials and spare parts for repairs and replacements.
• Coordinate with the project leader and adhere to the specified timelines and program.

Skills and Skills Requirements

• Qualified diesel mechanic with a valid trade test certificate from an accredited institution.
• Experience in servicing and maintaining generators, preferably in a similar embassy or government facility.
• Proficiency in diagnosing generator faults and performing repairs.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and environmental regulations related to generator servicing.
• Ability to provide detailed servicing reports and documentation.
• Competence in coordinating with project management and adhering to safety and security procedures.
• Capacity to provide vehicle ownership or lease documentation and ensure availability of necessary tools and equipment.
