Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure Bone Nibbler instruments for Dr Pixley Ka Isaka Seme Memorial Hospital to support surgical procedures involving bone cutting and trimming. Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply of five units of Bone Nibbler instruments, conforming to detailed specifications such as size, material, durability, and safety standards. The procurement covers the entire process from order placement to delivery at the specified hospital location, including compliance with technical and quality standards, and adherence to procurement policies.

Technical Requirements

• Instrument must be a Stille Luer 27 cm – 10 3/4 model.
• Instruments must last at least 20 years with proper maintenance.
• Must have CE marking indicating compliance with European safety standards.
• Constructed from high-quality stainless steel suitable for surgical use.
• Reusable and capable of withstanding sterilization processes.
• Must meet specified size, material, and durability specifications as per the annexed technical form.
• Instruments must conform to the quality standards and specifications approved by the end-user.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate technical capability to supply surgical instruments that meet detailed specifications and quality standards.
• Provision of samples for evaluation and testing as part of the selection process.
• Ability to provide documentation such as brochures, CE certification, and proof of manufacturing quality.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including preference points for South African owned enterprises and BBBEE status.
• Capacity to deliver within the specified timeframe and to the designated hospital location.
• Experience in supplying medical and surgical instruments, with proof of previous orders and deliveries.
• Understanding of sterilization, safety standards, and durability requirements for surgical tools.
