Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure Bowie Dick Test Packs to verify the effectiveness of air removal and steam penetration in pre-vacuum steam sterilizers at Dr Pixley Ka Isaka Seme Memorial Hospital. The test packs are intended for use in ensuring sterilization processes meet specified standards and conform to relevant ISO and certification requirements.

Scope

The scope includes the supply of single-use Bowie Dick Test Packs, conforming to ISO11140-4:2007 and Kite mark KM57632 standards, with process indicators and chemical indicator sheets. The procurement covers 20 test packs per box, with the requirement that the packs are suitable for sterilizers operating at 134°-137°C for up to 3.5 minutes. The delivery is a once-off, and the packs are intended for use at the specified hospital facility.

Technical Requirements

• Single-use test packs compatible with pre-vacuum steam sterilizers operating at 134°-137°C for up to 3.5 minutes.
• Conformance to ISO11140-4:2007 standards.
• Certification to Kite mark KM57632 (independent testing).
• Packaging with a process indicator (class 1) on the packaging.
• Chemical indicator sheet at the center of the pack showing a defined/uniform color change during the test cycle when no air or non-condensable gases are present.
• Each box contains 20 test packs.
