Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure calibration services for a decibel (sound level) meter, specifically the RION NL-31 sound level meter including microphone. The calibration aims to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the equipment used by Saldanha Bay Municipality for sound measurement purposes.

Scope

The scope of the tender encompasses:

• Calibration of the RION NL-31 sound level meter with microphone, including providing a SANAS-accredited calibration certificate.
• Pre-calibration functionality testing and inspection of the equipment.
• Collection and delivery of the equipment to and from the service provider.
• Provision of all necessary documentation, including calibration certificates and proof of accreditation.

The calibration service must be completed within 7 days after official order placement, and the calibration certificate must be valid and compliant with SANAS standards.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications and requirements for the calibration service include:

• Calibration of the RION NL-31 sound level meter including microphone.
• Provision of a SANAS-accredited calibration certificate for the equipment.
• Pre-calibration functionality testing and inspection of the sound level meter.
• Collection and delivery of the equipment to and from the municipality’s designated address.
• Pricing to include all costs such as transportation, administration, and applicable VAT.
• Quotation validity of at least 90 days from the closing date.

Additional technical considerations:

• The calibration must meet the standards specified by SANAS and be performed by an accredited laboratory.
• All relevant documentation and proof of accreditation must be submitted with the quotation.
• The service provider must ensure timely completion within 7 days of order receipt.
