Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure 20 boxes of CAPD (Continuous Ambulatory Peritoneal Dialysis) Catheter External Extensions to meet the needs of Ngwelezane Hospital. The procurement aims to ensure the availability of quality medical supplies that facilitate patient movement and fluid exchange, adhering to specified standards and regulations.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply of CAPD Catheter External Extensions as described in the specifications, with a total quantity of 20 boxes of 10 units each. The procurement process covers the entire supply chain, from submission of quotations, technical compliance, to delivery at Ngwelezane Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal. It also encompasses compliance with applicable procurement policies, evaluation criteria, and contractual obligations.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the CAPD Catheter External Extension are as follows:

• Material: Butter white plastic with 3 cm blue components
• Design: Caps on both ends with chambers of white and 30 cm tubing
• Standards: Must conform to SABS approval and meet quality standards
• Packaging: Units to be packaged in boxes
• Sample: Not required
• Compliance: Must meet detailed specifications attached in the annexure

Skills and Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
• Provision of valid licensing from the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) for manufacturing, wholesale, or distribution of medical devices.
• Completion of all mandatory and administrative documentation, including the Standard Quotation Document, Bidder’s Disclosure, and Preference Points Claim Form.
• Ability to deliver within a maximum of three weeks (15 working days) from the date of award.
• Experience in supplying medical devices in accordance with South African regulations and standards.
• Capacity to provide technical support and documentation as required.
