Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and deliver high-quality, SABS-approved carpentry materials to the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health's Central Supply Chain Management unit. The aim is to ensure the supply of reliable and compliant carpentry products for maintenance and related activities within the health facilities.

Scope

The scope includes the supply and delivery of various carpentry materials as specified in the attached specifications. The materials are intended for maintenance purposes and must meet the required standards, including SABS approval. The procurement covers a one-off delivery, with the delivery address at Old Boys Model School, Pietermaritzburg.

Technical Requirements

• Supply of high-quality, SABS-approved carpentry materials as detailed in the specification form.
• Materials must conform to the detailed specifications, including size, material, and quality standards.
• All products must be new, unused, and incorporate recent design and material improvements unless specified otherwise.
• Items must be packaged appropriately to prevent damage during transit.

Skills and Competencies Requirements

• Proven experience in supplying carpentry and building materials to government or similar institutions.
• Knowledge of relevant standards, including SABS approval requirements.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and quality standards specified in the tender documentation.
• Capacity to deliver within the stipulated timeframe and handle logistics efficiently.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including preference points and BBBEE requirements.
• Ability to provide technical support and documentation, including product specifications and compliance certificates.
