Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a qualified service provider to carry out a cylinder head overhaul for GSN 339 ZN, ensuring the repair and maintenance of the specified equipment in accordance with municipal standards and requirements.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Performing a comprehensive overhaul of the cylinder head for GSN 339 ZN.
• Adhering to technical specifications and quality standards specified by KwaDukuza Municipality.
• Participating in a compulsory site briefing and submitting a sealed quote by the stipulated deadline.
• Ensuring all work is completed within the agreed timeframe and to the satisfaction of the municipality.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements for the tender include:

• Attendance at a compulsory site briefing on 24 July 2026 at 09:00 at No.2 Industria Crescent, Stanger.
• Provision of proof of payment for the tender documents (R34.00 VAT inclusive).
• Submission of sealed quotes endorsed with the correct reference number and placed in the designated quote box by 12:00 on 29 July 2026.
• Quotes must be stapled, properly marked, and not electronically or fax submitted.
• Compliance with all municipal regulations and standards related to the overhaul process.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

The skills and qualifications required from bidders include:

• Relevant technical expertise and experience in cylinder head overhauls or similar mechanical repairs.
• Proof of accreditation or equivalent qualifications in relevant technical fields.
• Compliance with the National Treasury’s Defaulters Data Base screening.
• Demonstrated ownership or control (at least 51%) by Black people if classified as a QSE.
• Provision of necessary documentation such as municipal service status, landlord or ward councillor affidavits, or exemption certificates to verify municipal rates and taxes status.
