Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure catering services for the USDG Project Monitoring Site Visits scheduled for 02–03 September 2026. The service provider must supply pre-packaged lunches, water, and juice for 25 people per day over two days, with specific meal contents and delivery requirements.

Scope of Work

• Quantity: 1 LOT (covering both days).
• Daily attendance: 25 people per day (Day 1 and Day 2).
• Meal type: Pre-pack lunch in plastic disposable containers.
• Menu items (per pack): Chicken wraps, beef slider, cheese puff, spring roll, chicken strip/nuggets, juice, and water.
• Special requirement: 2 out of the 25 pre-pack lunches per day must be Halaal.
• Delivery: Pre-packed lunches, water, and juice must be delivered at 08h00 on each day.
• Setup: Catering containers, juice, and water must be placed appropriately at the delivery site.

Technical Requirements

• All food items must be pre-packaged in plastic disposable containers as specified.
• Halaal meals must be clearly identified and segregated from non-Halaal meals.
• Delivery must occur exactly at 08h00 on both scheduled days (02 and 03 September 2026).
• Containers, juice, and water must be arranged/placed at the venue as instructed.
• Compliance with the General Conditions of Tender and Conditions of Purchase.
• Successful registration on the Nelson Mandela Bay Supplier Database is mandatory.
• All tender prices must remain valid for a minimum of 30 days from the tender closing date.
• Tender responses must be submitted online; no fax submissions are accepted.

Skills and Compliance Requirements

• Ability to provide catering services for a group of 25 people per day, including Halaal meal preparation.
• Knowledge of food safety, packaging, and timely delivery logistics.
• Familiarity with the Preferential Procurement Regulations of 2022, specifically the 80/20 system applicable to this tender.
• Must be registered on the Nelson Mandela Bay Supplier Database (failure to do so invalidates the tender).
