Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure catering services for the Long Service Award Ceremony scheduled for 28 August 2026. The services include providing Halaal-certified food and beverages, such as muffins, platters, and drinks, to ensure a successful and compliant event.

Scope

The scope encompasses the provision of catering services at the specified location (Auditorium, Tier Kloof, Vredenburg) with delivery times aligned to event requirements:

• Delivery of muffins (to be delivered at 08:00)
• Savoury and meaty platters (to be delivered at 12:30)
• Provision of assorted soft drinks (330ml cans)
• Serving accessories including forks, toothpicks, side plates, sauces, and napkins
• Food must be Halaal-certified and presented on tables with tablecloths

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the catering services include:

• Food items: Muffins (60 cut in half with cheese and jam toppings), mini pizzas, crumbed chicken strips, and assorted soft drinks
• Food must be delivered fresh and at specified times to ensure readiness for serving
• All food served must be Halaal-certified
• Plates and serving accessories must be provided, including small forks, toothpicks, side plates, sauces, and serviettes
• Food presentation: Platters laid out on tables in the foyer with tablecloths provided

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Experience in catering for formal events and ceremonies
• Ability to provide Halaal-certified food and beverages
• Capability to deliver and set up catering items at specified times
• Compliance with health and safety standards, including proper food handling and disposal
• Provision of necessary serving accessories and presentation standards
