Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of the Circum Q device and Circum Q kits to Itshelejuba Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The aim is to ensure the hospital has the necessary equipment to conduct MMC (Male Medical Circumcision) procedures efficiently and in accordance with specified standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of 1,000 units of the Circum Q device for MMC procedures.
• Supply and delivery of 1,000 Circum Q kits, each containing all specified surgical items.
• Delivery to Itshelejuba Hospital along the N2 Road between Piet Retief and Pongola.
• Adherence to technical specifications and standards outlined in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Devices and kits must comply with SANBS standards and specifications.
• Devices should be suitable for MMC procedures as specified.
• Customized surgical kits must contain all items listed, including sterile gloves, sutures, needles, scalpels, and other surgical instruments.
• All products must meet quality standards and be compliant with SANBS requirements.
• Samples are not required for the device and kits, but the supplier must confirm compliance with specifications.
• Delivery must be timely, with the department reserving the right to inspect and test supplies upon delivery.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate:

• Experience in supplying medical devices and surgical kits to healthcare facilities.
• Knowledge of SANBS standards and South African healthcare procurement regulations.
• Ability to meet technical specifications and quality standards outlined in the tender.
• Compliance with legal and legislative requirements, including disclosure of interests and tax compliance.
• Provision of necessary documentation such as BBBEE certificates (if applicable), tax clearance, and Central Suppliers Database registration.
