Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure cleaning services for the building and offices at Umbonambi Clinic, ensuring a clean, hygienic, and safe environment in accordance with infection control standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Daily cleaning of buildings and contents, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and spot cleaning.
• High-level dusting of surfaces above 2 meters, light fittings, blinds, and ceiling fans weekly.
• Cleaning of windows, window panes, and glass surfaces monthly.
• Cleaning and maintenance of toilets, bathrooms, and changerooms, including sinks, urinals, toilets, and associated fixtures.
• Cleaning of verandas, corridors, and external areas such as pavements and entrances.
• Specialized cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing, deep cleaning, and waste disposal.
• Provision and use of essential cleaning tools, equipment, and materials as specified.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Adherence to infection control guidelines, including the use of color-coded mops and approved disinfectants.
• Provision of necessary cleaning tools and equipment, such as bucket systems, vacuum cleaners, stripping machines, and safety signs.
• Use of approved cleaning materials and chemicals, including disinfectants, detergents, and personal protective equipment.
• Compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of waste and reporting of maintenance issues.
• Attendance at a compulsory site inspection scheduled for 29/05/2026 at 12:00 at Umbonambi Clinic.
• Implementation of a daily checklist for cleaning tasks, submitted to the facility management.

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in cleaning services within healthcare or similar environments, supported by reference letters and completion certificates.
• Knowledge of infection control standards and safety protocols.
• Capability to operate and maintain cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, stripping machines, and polisher machines.
• Ability to provide trained and competent cleaning staff, including supervisors and safety officers.
• Compliance with bargaining council requirements and provision of valid certificates.
• Capacity to supply and manage essential cleaning materials and tools throughout the contract period.
