Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure cleaning services for the building at Gateway Clinic for a duration of six months. The aim is to ensure the provision of professional cleaning services that meet specified standards, including daily cleaning, deep cleaning, and adherence to health and safety regulations.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Cleaning of all building interiors and exteriors, including walls, floors, ceilings, windows, and fixtures.
• Cleaning of specific areas such as wards, operating theatres, toilets, and other designated spaces within Charles Johnson Memorial Hospital.
• Provision of cleaning personnel, equipment, machinery, and consumables necessary to perform the services.
• Adherence to infection control protocols, health and safety standards, and institutional requirements.
• Provision of cleaning services over a six-month period, with specific shifts and staffing requirements.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of trained and experienced cleaning staff, including supervisors or team leaders with verifiable experience.
• Use of approved cleaning chemicals, detergents, and equipment compliant with health and safety standards.
• Adherence to infection prevention and control (IPC) standards, especially in clinical areas.
• Provision of necessary cleaning machinery such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, scrubbing machines, and high-pressure cleaners.
• Implementation of a detailed cleaning schedule aligned with the specified hours of attendance and service levels.
• Compliance with all relevant regulations, including health and safety, environmental standards, and institutional policies.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in providing outsourced cleaning services, with at least three reference letters from previous clients.
• Capability to deliver cleaning services in a healthcare environment, with knowledge of infection control protocols.
• Qualified and trained personnel familiar with cleaning machinery, chemicals, and safety procedures.
• Financial capacity to sustain the service, including a detailed financial plan.
• Ability to meet the minimum qualifying score of 70 points in capacity to deliver evaluation criteria.
• Provision of uniformed staff with proper identification and training on cleaning procedures and safety.
