Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit quotations for the cleaning and repair of gutters at the Matatiele Magistrates Court, ensuring the proper maintenance and functionality of the facility's drainage system.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Cleaning of gutters at the specified location.
• Repair of any damages or blockages identified during the cleaning process.
• Ensuring the gutters are fully functional and compliant with safety standards.
• Providing all necessary tools, materials, and labor to complete the work.
• Adhering to safety and environmental regulations during the execution of the work.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• The contractor must have a CIDB grading designation of 1 GB or higher.
• Work must be completed within the stipulated timeframes, with immediate commencement after site inspection and approval of the pro-forma invoice.
• The contractor must provide a detailed pro-forma invoice prior to work, including material costs, labor, and travel expenses.
• All work must comply with relevant safety, health, and environmental standards.
• The contractor must submit a health and safety plan within 21 days of the contract commencement date.
• All invoices must be submitted within 30 days of job completion, with proper documentation including signed job cards and timesheets.
• The contractor must ensure proper disposal of waste and debris resulting from the work.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in gutter cleaning and repair, with references to similar projects completed in the past 5 years.
• Qualified personnel with appropriate technical skills and safety training.
• Capacity to mobilize resources quickly and efficiently to meet project deadlines.
• Ability to prepare and submit detailed work plans, safety plans, and progress reports.
• Knowledge of relevant legislation and safety standards applicable to construction and maintenance work.
