Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to supply and deliver 4,000 units of collar and cuff as specified, meeting quality standards and technical specifications outlined in the procurement documentation. Scope

The scope includes the procurement, supply, and delivery of collar and cuff products to the GJGM Regional Hospital, KwaDukuza. It covers compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and administrative requirements, including sample submission, documentation, and adherence to procurement policies. The contract is a once-off supply with a validity period of 90 days from the date of advertisement.

Technical Requirements

• Material: Breathable cotton stockinet with soft foam core for comfortable weight distribution without excess pressure.
• Dimensions: Standard size of 50mm (5.0 cm) width by 4 meters length, suitable for bulk sale.
• Design: Cut-to-size, highly customizable for flexible height and angle adjustments to suit various patients.
• Application: Worn on either arm to suspend the limb at a 90-degree angle.
• Compliance: Must meet SABS standards and include a declaration of compliance.
• Samples: Submission of samples is required for evaluation and approval.
• Additional documentation: Include proof of compliance with specifications, addendums, and relevant certificates.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Ability to manufacture or supply medical devices that meet SABS standards and specifications.
• Experience in supplying medical or healthcare-related products, demonstrated through previous orders and delivery notes.
• Capability to provide technical documentation, including compliance certificates, and to submit samples for evaluation.
• Knowledge of procurement policies, including adherence to the Preferential Procurement Regulations 2022 and related legislation.
• Capacity to provide after-sales support, including warranty services and technical assistance if required.
• Compliance with administrative and legal requirements such as tax clearance, BBBEE certification, and CSD registration.
