Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a supplier or service provider for the supply or provision of a Commutator Profile Machine, ensuring the delivery of quality goods/services that meet Transnet's specifications and standards for a specified period.

Technical Requirements

• Supply or provision of a Commutator Profile Machine that conforms strictly to the specifications outlined in the requirements schedule.
• Adherence to quality standards and satisfactory performance of the machine.
• Provision of necessary after-sales services, including maintenance, replacement parts, and warranty support.
• Compliance with safety, health, and security regulations on Transnet premises.
• Involvement in research and development activities if applicable, with ownership of resulting intellectual property transferring to Transnet.

Skills Requirements

• Technical expertise in manufacturing, supplying, or servicing Commutator Profile Machines.
• Knowledge of quality assurance standards and compliance procedures.
• Capability to provide after-sales support, including maintenance and warranty services.
• Understanding of legal and contractual obligations, including confidentiality, proprietary rights, and compliance with POPIA.
