Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure 600 bags of corncob bedding (20kg each) that are autoclavable and free from plastic packaging, to be used by Onderstepoort Biological Products Ltd. The procurement aims to ensure the supply of quality bedding material that meets specified technical and safety standards.

Skills and Compliance Requirements

Suppliers must meet the following criteria and submit necessary documentation:

• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with a report not older than 2 months (for South African bidders).
• International bidders must request and submit an SBD 1 form with their bid.
• Complete and submit the SBD4 Bidder’s Disclosure form, signed and signed.
• Provide evidence of BBBEE status, including:
• BBBEE Certificate showing at least 51% black ownership (Preference: 10 points)
• BBBEE Certificate showing at least 30% women ownership (Preference: 8 points)
• Disability confirmation (Preference: 2 points)

Additional skills and compliance include:

• Ability to upload all required documentation via the procurement portal.
• Adherence to procurement policies and conditions as per the General Conditions of Contract July 2010.
• Understanding of the evaluation criteria based on price and preference points (80/20 weighting).
