Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to carry out the cutting of trees that are affecting the structure at the Matatiele Magistrate Court. The work involves tree felling, pruning, supporting, and disposal activities to ensure the safety and integrity of the building structure.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Felling of specified trees in proximity to the Magistrate Court building.
• Removal of dead, diseased, or overcrowded branches to maintain tree health and safety.
• Supporting and securing trees during felling operations using appropriate equipment such as cranes.
• Disposal of waste material at approved dumping sites.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Adherence to Occupational Health and Safety regulations and instructions.
• Use of trained and qualified personnel, including arborists and tree fellers trained to relevant standards.
• Implementation of approved methodology for tree cutting, including safety measures near structures and power lines.
• Provision of equipment such as cranes, support supports, and chemical treatments for stump disposal.
• Proper disposal of all waste and debris in accordance with environmental regulations.
• Provision of proof of insurance, security, and compliance certifications prior to commencement.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:
