Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to solicit qualified service providers to carry out repairs to the faulty 500AMP main breaker and the rusted electrical kiosk at SAPS Nkandla Residence. The aim is to restore electrical functionality and ensure safety and compliance with relevant standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Repair and replacement of the faulty 500AMP main breaker.
• Restoration or replacement of the rusted electrical kiosk.
• Ensuring all electrical components meet safety and technical standards.
• Provision of all necessary materials, tools, and labor for the repairs.
• Adherence to technical specifications and safety regulations as outlined in the tender documents.

The work is to be completed within a period of 5 days from the commencement date.

Technical Requirements

• The bidder must have a CIDB grading of 1 EB or higher.
• Submission of a valid Wiremans License issued by the Department of Labour or certified proof of employment for the electrical work.
• Submission of certified artisan certificates for personnel performing electrical repairs.
• Registration on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) is mandatory.
• The repair work must comply with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
• All materials and workmanship must conform to relevant standards, including IEC 60947-2 for electrical components.
• Provision of a safety plan and work schedule prior to commencement.
• No site briefing will be held; technical queries should be directed to the designated project contact.
• All bids must be submitted before the closing date and time, with late submissions rejected.
