Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure five (5) Desktop PCs (X5) for the NHLS George Laboratory, ensuring the supply of reliable, compliant, and functional desktop computers that meet the specified technical and functional requirements.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply, delivery, and associated services for five desktop PCs to the NHLS George Laboratory in the Western Cape region. The procurement process includes compliance with technical specifications, submission of necessary documentation, and adherence to contractual conditions as outlined in the RFQ.

Technical Requirements

• The desktop PCs must be new, unused, and of the latest models with recent design improvements.
• All hardware must meet the specifications detailed in the RFQ, including performance, compatibility, and quality standards.
• Suppliers must provide proof of compliance with general conditions, declarations, and relevant certifications.
• Suppliers are required to submit detailed documentation including signed conditions, declarations, pricing schedules, and proof of registration (e.g., CIPC, CIDB if applicable).
• Suppliers must ensure the inclusion of all delivery costs, taxes, and levies in their bid prices.
• The PCs should be packaged to withstand transit conditions and be delivered in accordance with the specified delivery schedule.

Skills and Skills Requirements

While the tender primarily focuses on hardware supply, the skills and expertise required from bidders include:

• Technical knowledge of desktop computer specifications and compliance standards.
• Ability to prepare and submit comprehensive bid documentation, including technical and financial proposals.
• Understanding of procurement regulations, including tax compliance, B-BBEE verification, and local content requirements.
• Experience in delivering similar hardware procurement projects, demonstrated through a schedule of work carried out in the last five years.
• Capability to provide after-sales support, warranty services, and technical assistance as specified in the RFQ.
• Knowledge of contractual obligations and ability to adhere to delivery timelines and quality standards.
