Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to desludge septic tanks at Dannhauser CHC clinics over a period of 12 months, with desludging occurring on a monthly basis or as requested. The contractor must ensure septic tanks are maintained in a proper, overflowing-free condition, offload waste at registered municipal dumping sites following sanitation regulations, and provide monthly reports on desludging activities.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Desludging of septic tanks at 8 clinics in Dannhauser, including the first, second, and third chambers, using appropriate equipment (e.g., submersible pumps with long extension pipes).
• Performing desludging at least once a month or during emergencies, ensuring no overflow occurs.
• Off-loading septic waste at registered municipal sewer or dumping sites, with signed trip logs and clinic stamps as proof of service completion.
• Ensuring sewer lines are clear and water flows freely during desludging.
• Providing monthly reports post-desludging.
• Adhering to health, safety, and environmental regulations regarding waste disposal.

Technical Requirements

• Use of suitable desludging equipment capable of handling approximately 60,000 liters per tank.
• Long extension pipes (around 20 meters) for access to septic tanks located far from clinic entrances.
• Proper offloading at registered municipal sites, following all sanitation and waste management rules.
• Signed trip logs from drivers, security personnel, and clinic operational managers as proof of service.
• Provision of detailed monthly reports on desludging activities.
• Compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards.

Skills Requirements

• Experience in septic tank desludging and waste management services.
• Ability to operate and maintain desludging equipment, including submersible pumps and extension pipes.
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations and waste disposal procedures.
• Capacity to produce accurate documentation, including signed trip logs and monthly reports.
• Availability to perform scheduled desludging and respond to emergency requests promptly.
• Qualified personnel, such as artisans or plumbers, with relevant certifications and experience.
