Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure Diesel 50 PPM for various clinics and generator use at St Andrews Hospital, KwaZulu-Natal, under the Department of Health. The procurement aims to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality diesel fuel to meet operational needs.

Scope

The scope includes the supply of Diesel 50 PPM in specified quantities for different clinics (Xhamini, Kwambotho, Weza, Elim, M/Sweet) and for generator use at St Andrews Hospital. The contract is a once-off purchase, with delivery to the hospital's specified location within the agreed timeframe.

Technical Requirements

• The diesel must conform to the specified grade of 50 parts per million (PPM) sulfur content.
• The product must meet the relevant South African standards (SANS/SABS specifications).
• The diesel must be suitable for generator use and compatible with the operational equipment at the clinics and hospital.
• Suppliers must provide proof of compliance with specifications, including certificates and test reports if requested.
• Delivery must be made to the designated address at 14 Moodie Street, Harding, in sealed and properly packed containers to prevent contamination or damage.

Skills Requirements

• Proven experience in the supply and distribution of diesel fuel to institutional clients.
• Ability to provide necessary documentation such as CIPC ownership certificates, BBBEE certificates, and Sworn Affidavits.
• Capability to meet technical specifications and quality standards as per South African regulations.
• Efficient logistics and delivery skills to ensure timely supply within the specified period.
• Compliance with procurement policies, including VAT registration and tax compliance.
