Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to provide dislodging services for septic tanks at 10 clinics under Benedictine Hospital. The service aims to ensure proper waste management by safely and efficiently desludging septic tanks, disposing of waste at accredited sites, and maintaining compliance with environmental and health standards.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Performing a one-time desludging of septic tanks at 10 specified clinics under Benedictine Hospital.
• Steering the septic tanks with rods prior to suction to prevent build-up.
• Disposing of waste at approved district municipality sites, with proof of disposal provided.
• Conducting desludging in the presence of departmental officials and maintaining signed logs and registers.
• Using only vacuum trucks equipped with air pressure systems, fully labeled and compliant with safety standards.
• Responding within 48 hours to service requests.
• Submitting necessary permits, safety data sheets, and proof of registration with local authorities.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications include:

• Use of vacuum trucks with proper labeling and specialized equipment for septic tank cleaning.
• Disposal of waste at accredited district municipality sites, with certificates of disposal.
• Signing in and out on desludging logs and registers for each load, with clinic date stamps.
• Provision of PPE for staff and adherence to safety protocols.
• Submission of proof of disposal authority, safety data sheets, and registration certificates.
• Skilled workmen with valid medical fitness records, including hepatitis B injections.

Skills Requirements

The bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in septic tank desludging and drain cleaning, with proof of similar completed projects within the last 3 years.
• Capability to respond promptly to service requests (within 48 hours).
• Compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, including proper disposal and PPE use.
• Qualified and trained personnel with valid medical fitness and safety certifications.
• Ability to provide all necessary documentation, including disposal certificates, safety data sheets, and proof of municipal registration.
