The successful bidder will manage the end-to-end removal and collection of designated scrap metal and condemned hospital assets. Key deliverables include:

• Uplifting all specified items strictly according to the hospital's disposal schedule.
• Completing the entire removal and collection process within three (3) working days.
• Leaving the collection area clean, tidy, and free of debris post-removal.
• Processing full payment to the hospital's Revenue Department prior to any asset collection.
• Submitting a verified copy of the payment receipt to the Asset Manager before removal begins.

Technical Requirements

Bidders must satisfy strict administrative, logistical, and compliance thresholds:

• Documentation: Submission of fully completed official quotation forms (originals only, non-retyped), SBD4 (Bidder’s Disclosure), SBD6.1 (Preference Points Claim), General Conditions of Contract (GCC), Special Conditions of Contract (SCC), and the Administrative Compliance checklist.
• Registration & Tax Status: Active registration on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) with verified tax compliance status is mandatory.
• Mandatory Site Briefing: Attendance at a compulsory briefing on 03 September 2026 at 11:00 at the SCM Asset Management office. Failure to attend results in automatic disqualification.
• Pricing & Validity: Quotes must reflect firm pricing, remain valid for 90 days, and include VAT where applicable. All collection and transport costs must be embedded in the quoted amount.
• Evaluation Framework: The 80/20 preferential procurement system applies, allocating 80 points to price and 20 points to specific socio-economic goals (promoting South African-owned enterprises).
