Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the repair of the faulty distribution board (DB) box at the Doj: Izingolweni Magistrate Court that causes electricity to trip in the building. The aim is to ensure electrical safety, restore proper electrical functioning, and prevent electrical trips that disrupt building operations.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Testing, fault finding, and repairing the faulty DB box that causes electrical trips.
• Conducting assessments to ensure compliance with electrical standards (SANS10142).
• Replacing or repairing damaged parts identified during fault diagnosis.
• Providing detailed reports, job cards, and certification of work completed.
• Ensuring safety and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations.
• Completing the work within a contract period of approximately two days.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Fault diagnosis and testing of the DB box to identify issues causing electrical trips.
• Repair or replacement of damaged components as per SANS10142 standards.
• Provision of a safety plan prior to commencement of work.
• Submission of electrical compliance certificates (CoC) and proof of registration as an electrical contractor.
• Use of qualified electricians with relevant trade test certificates.
• Adherence to occupational health and safety regulations during the execution of work.
• Completion of all work within the specified two-day period, with proper documentation and certification.

Skills Requirements

The tenderer must demonstrate:

• Qualified electrical technicians with valid trade test certificates.
• Experience in electrical fault diagnosis, repair, and maintenance, especially in low-voltage electrical systems.
• Registration as an Electrical Contractor with the Department of Labour.
• Proven track record of similar electrical repair projects, with references and completion certificates.
• Ability to produce detailed job cards, safety plans, and compliance certificates.
• Competence in adhering to safety standards and occupational health and safety regulations.
