The procurement seeks to secure a reliable once-off supplier capable of delivering medical-grade textiles while adhering to provincial preferential procurement policies and public sector ethics.

• Items Supplied: 500 white draw sheets and 300 pillow cases (800 units total).

Technical Requirements

All supplied items must strictly conform to the following medical-grade specifications:

• Pillow Cases: 70% cotton and 30% polyester blend, bleached and fully pre-shrunk. Minimum thread count of 180. Colour must match CKS 129-30c/2 Mazarine Blue. Each unit requires QNRH 20mm royal blue lettering across the entire face, finished dimensions of 75cm x 50cm with a 23cm flap, M80 mercerised stitching (5 stitches per 10mm), and double-stitched 2.5cm hemmed raw seams. A dye-fast size tab indicating manufacturer name and production date is mandatory.
• Draw Sheets: 100% cotton, bleached and fully pre-shrunk, constructed with two fabric layers. Minimum thread count of 180. Colour must match CKS 129-1c/2 White. Identical lettering, stitching, and seam construction apply, with finished dimensions of 100cm x 180cm. An additional central longitudinal stitching row is required.
• Quality & Condition: Both items must meet SABS 1401 Part 3 standards (Type P48 for draw sheets). Products must be brand new, unused, and possess a minimum remaining shelf life of six months upon delivery. Physical samples will be requested from the top three scoring bidders for independent laboratory verification prior to contract award.

• Logistics & Pricing: Ability to guarantee timely delivery within agreed periods, with all transport and handling costs embedded in the quoted price. Prices must remain firm for the contract duration.
• Preferential Procurement: Eligibility for 20 preference points requires documented proof of enterprise operation within the King Cetshwayo District, verified through CIPC ownership records and municipal utility bills or ward councillor confirmation.
