Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure electrical materials for Untunjambili Hospital in KwaZulu-Natal, ensuring the supply of quality, SABS-approved electrical components that meet specified standards and standards compliance. The process aims to promote enterprise ownership by youth through preference points and to ensure timely delivery and adherence to technical specifications.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of electrical materials as detailed in the attached list, to be supplied to Untunjambili Hospital. The procurement includes all necessary documentation, samples, and compliance with specifications, standards, and legal requirements. The contract is for a once-off supply, with the possibility of delivery to the hospital's designated depot location, and includes incidental services, warranty, and adherence to procurement policies.

Technical Requirements

• Supply and deliver electrical materials as per attached specifications and list.
• Materials must be SABS approved and conform to relevant standards and specifications.
• Samples of the electrical materials must be submitted for evaluation by the department.
• Items must be new, unused, and current models with no defects, with a warranty period of 12 months (or as specified).
• All packaging must prevent damage during transit, with proper marking and documentation.
• Delivery must be made in accordance with the specified delivery schedule and documentation requirements.
• Suppliers must provide proof of compliance, including relevant licenses and registration documents.

Skills Requirements

• Knowledge of electrical standards and SABS specifications.
• Ability to prepare and submit compliant technical documentation and samples.
• Understanding of procurement policies, including Preferential Procurement Regulations and BBBEE requirements.
• Capability to deliver within specified timeframes and to the designated hospital depot.
