Objectives

The primary objective is to procure a reliable supply of sterile endoscopic submucosal lifting agents for clinical use at Grey’s Hospital. The tender aims to secure high-quality medical consumables that support safe gastrointestinal procedures while adhering to provincial health procurement standards and preferential procurement policies.

Scope

The scope covers the supply and delivery of two (2) boxes, containing twenty (20) individual units of an endoscopic “Blue Eye” submucosal lifting agent to Grey’s Hospital. The quotation must remain valid for ninety days. The procurement follows a single-stage evaluation process focusing on administrative compliance, specification adherence, regulatory licensing, and a price-based scoring system with socio-economic preferences. No ongoing service contract, installation, or maintenance obligations are included.

Technical Requirements

• Product must be sterile and non-pyrogenic.
• Each unit must be a pre-filled 5ml syringe containing methylene blue dye.
• Must be stable and suitable for room-temperature storage.
• Minimum shelf life of two (2) years from the date of delivery.
• Packaging must contain ten (10) units per box.
• Supplier must hold a valid licence issued by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) authorising the manufacture, import, export, or wholesale distribution of medical devices.
• Bidders must be registered on the Central Supplier Database (CSD) with verified tax compliance status.
• All quotations must be submitted on official government forms, with firm pricing and full completion of mandatory returnable documents.
