Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure neonatal endotracheal tubes that meet specified standards and specifications for use at Dr Pixley Ka Isaka Seme Memorial Hospital. The procurement aims to ensure the supply of quality, compliant medical devices to support neonatal care.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various sizes of cuffed and uncuffed neonatal endotracheal tubes, including specified materials, standards, and packaging requirements. The procurement covers the complete process from submission of quotations, technical compliance, sample submission, to final delivery at the designated hospital location.

Technical Requirements

• Item Description: Cuffed and uncuffed endotracheal tubes for neonates, with sizes ranging from 2.5mm to 4mm.
• Material: Extra-soft PVC with a radiopaque line.
• Design Features:
  • Bevelled distal end at 38 degrees Celsius.
  • Black glottic depth markings indicating insertion depths (e.g., 24mm).
  • Markings every centimeter from 15cm to 25cm for sizes 5.5mm and 6.5mm.
  • Sizes: 2.5mm, 3mm, 3.5mm, and 4mm.
  • Color: Green.
  • Standard: ISO 15mm connector.
• Standards: Items must conform to ISO standards and be SABS or SANS approved.
• Packaging: Each in boxes of 25 units.
• Additional: Samples required for evaluation, with specific documentation and compliance to specifications.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Ability to supply medical-grade neonatal endotracheal tubes that meet ISO and local standards.
• Experience in the supply and distribution of medical devices, particularly neonatal airway management products.
• Capability to provide technical documentation, samples, and compliance certificates as per tender specifications.
