Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a supplier to provide Flip Off Seals as specified, ensuring quality and compliance with technical and procurement standards. The goal is to secure a reliable source for these seals to meet operational needs, with adherence to procurement policies and specific goal requirements related to BBBEE and other socio-economic factors.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply of 42 boxes of Flip Off Seals, each containing 10,000 units, totaling 420,000 seals. The specifications for the seals are detailed in the attached documentation, including material composition, dimensions, packaging, and certification requirements. The supplier must deliver the seals in sealed cartons with appropriate labeling, certificates of conformance, and compliance with packaging and quality standards.

Technical Requirements

• Material: Annealed aluminum, 99% pure, with aluminum sheet thickness of 0.019 – 0.021 mm.
• Dimensions:
  • Seal height: 7.5 mm ± 0.1 mm (range 7.4 – 7.6 mm)
  • Colored top height: 3.3 mm ± 0.1 mm (range 3.20 – 3.40 mm)
  • Colored top width: 22.8 mm ± 0.3 mm (range 22.50 – 23.10 mm)
• The cap must have a circular opening located in the center and a matte surface finish.
• Packaging:
  • Caps packed in sealed plastic bags of either 7,500 or 10,000 units.
  • Bags packed into cartons to protect against dust and damage.
  • All consignments must include a Certificate of Conformance signed by the supplier’s responsible person, stating batch number, specifications, and test results.
  • Sealed and marked cartons with manufacturer name, batch number, and quantity.
  • Shippers marked with a red irradiation sticker and labeled accordingly.

Skills and Requirements

• Compliance with procurement procedures, including registration on the procurement portal and submission of all required documentation.
• Provision of Certificates of Conformance demonstrating adherence to specifications and quality standards.
• Experience in manufacturing or supplying aluminum seals with precise dimensions and quality control.
• Ability to produce and package the seals according to detailed technical and packaging specifications.
• Knowledge of and compliance with BBBEE requirements and socio-economic goals, including submission of relevant certificates.
• Capacity to deliver the specified quantity within the required timeframe and maintain quality standards throughout the supply process.
