Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure and supply operational and maintenance items to be delivered to the Marquard Unit for the Setsoto Local Municipality. The successful service provider will be responsible for delivering the goods/services within 2 days of receiving the official purchase order, ensuring timely support for municipal operations.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of operational and maintenance items specifically to the Marquard Unit. The tender includes various categories of goods/services as detailed in the specifications, with an emphasis on timely delivery and compliance with municipal requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Delivery of goods/services within 2 days upon receipt of the official purchase order (service providers should specify their delivery period if outside this timeframe).
• Validity of quoted prices must be maintained for at least 30 days.
• Compliance with municipal regulations, including proof of municipal account status (arrears or current), lease agreements, or land occupancy permissions.
• Adherence to the procurement regulations under Framework Act No 5 of 2000 and its 2022 regulations (80/20 criteria).

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate the following:

• Proof of B-BBEE status and enterprise ownership details, including affidavits, certificates, or share certificates, depending on the category.
• For disadvantaged groups, evidence such as sworn affidavits, certified copies of certificates, or proof of disability or youth status.
• For local enterprise participation, documentation such as municipal rates accounts, lease agreements, or permission letters from traditional authorities.
• Verification of compliance with specific goal points related to race, gender, disability, youth, and locality as per the scoring system.
• All documentation must be valid, current, and verifiable through accredited agencies or official records.
