Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the provisioning of one cleaner for Garies Magistrate Court for a period of 30 days as a one-off service. The aim is to ensure the court premises are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition through daily and weekly cleaning activities.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of a cleaner to perform daily cleaning duties for 30 days, including cleaning floors, courtrooms, cells, passages, entrances, parking areas, and tea kitchens.
• Polishing and shining all floor surfaces.
• Emptying, washing, and wiping waste bins and ashtrays.
• Washing dishes, cutlery, and cleaning microwaves, stoves, cupboards, and refrigerators.
• Cleaning and disinfecting toilets, washbasins, tiles, mirrors, showers, and restrooms with approved disinfectant.
• Dusting, wiping, and polishing desks, furniture, glass surfaces, and telephones in offices and conference rooms.
• Cleaning windows, brass items, and walls weekly.
• Managing rubbish removal and ensuring cleanliness of all surfaces as specified.

The contractor will supervise the cleaner and provide all cleaning materials, toiletries, and equipment needed for the 30-day period.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Provision of a qualified cleaner capable of performing the specified cleaning tasks daily and weekly.
• Adherence to the specified cleaning standards, including disinfecting and polishing.
• Supervision of the cleaner by the service provider.
• Provision of all necessary cleaning materials, toiletries, and equipment.
• Compliance with health and safety standards applicable to cleaning services.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required for the service provider include:

• Experience in cleaning services, preferably in a government or institutional setting.
• Ability to supervise and manage cleaning staff effectively.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures, disinfectants, and safety protocols.
• Capability to deliver quality cleaning services consistently over the contract period.
• Compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
