Objectives

The tender includes submission of samples, technical compliance, and adherence to specified standards and documentation requirements.

Technical Requirements

• Item Description: Disposable surgical gowns, sterile, anti-glare, non-woven polypropylene material.
• Size: Large, with long sleeves and cuffs.
• Reinforced in chest and forearm areas.
• Resistance to liquid penetration and bacterial barrier efficiency.
• Lint-free and compliant with international standards ISO 16604, ASTM 1671, and South African standards SANS 53795, ISO 5099.
• Packaging: Units per package, with proper packing to prevent damage during transit.
• Samples must be provided with the quotation for approval, and the product must meet all specified detailed specifications.

Skills and Competency Requirements

• Ability to produce and supply PPE that complies with international and South African standards.
• Experience in manufacturing or supplying sterile medical gowns, supported by relevant documentation and samples.
• Capacity to deliver the specified quantity within the contractual timeframe, evidenced by previous order fulfillment and delivery notes.
• Knowledge of procurement procedures, documentation, and compliance with health and safety standards.
• Provision of necessary legal and compliance documentation, including sworn affidavits, SARS PIN, CSD report, and sample approval for evaluation.
• Understanding of the procurement policies, including preferential procurement and BBBEE requirements.
