Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure the supply and delivery of tyres for a Bell Grader and TLB (Tractor Loader Backhoe) to meet the operational needs of Umdoni Municipality. The aim is to ensure the municipality has reliable, suitable tyres that comply with technical specifications, supporting efficient and safe machinery operation.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of specific tyre sizes for designated vehicles:
  • 17.5-25 L4 tyres for Bell Grader NX 37008 (2014 model)
  • 12.5/80 front tyres for Bell TLB NX 20130 (2011 model)
  • 16.9-28 back tyres for Bell TLB NX 20130 (2011 model)
• Supply and delivery of the tyres to Umdoni Municipality’s designated location.
• Compliance with technical and quality standards specified in the tender documentation.

Technical Requirements

The tyres must meet the following technical specifications:

• Tyre size: 17.5-25 L4 for Bell Grader NX 37008
• Tyre size: 12.5/80 front for Bell TLB NX 20130
• Tyre size: 16.9-28 back for Bell TLB NX 20130
• Make and model specifications as detailed in the tender document.
• Tyres must be new, unused, and of the latest or current models with all recent design improvements.
• Compliance with relevant standards and specifications available upon request and on the municipality’s website.

Skills and Capabilities Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in supplying and delivering heavy-duty tyres for construction and municipal equipment.
• Capability to supply tyres that meet the specified technical standards and specifications.
• Capacity to deliver the tyres within the required timeframe and in good condition.
• Ability to provide supporting documentation such as B-BEE certificates, CSD registration, and proof of compliance with tax and municipal obligations.
• Provision of after-sales support, if applicable, including warranty and technical assistance.
