Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure supply and delivery of groceries for the Department of Health's Central Supply Chain Management unit in KwaZulu-Natal. The aim is to ensure the department has access to quality groceries, including items such as long life milk, coffee, tea, biscuits, and sugars, for official use, specifically for the 11th floor Boardroom and related facilities.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply and delivery of various grocery items as detailed in the specifications, including:

• Long life milk (full cream, 1 litre boxes)
• Jacobs Coffee (200g)
• Rooibos Tea (80 bags/200g)
• Five Roses Tea (80/100 bags)
• Assorted biscuits (2kg)
• Brown sugar (12.5kg)
• White sugar (12.5kg)

The delivery must be completed within specified timeframes, with quotations submitted to the designated SCM offices in Pietermaritzburg. The procurement process includes evaluation based on administrative compliance, technical specifications, price, and preference points.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Items must meet the specifications outlined in the annexure, including packaging, shelf life, and quality standards.
• Items should conform to the specified sizes, packaging, and quality standards.
• Suppliers must provide samples if required and ensure items are delivered within 1 week of order receipt.
• All goods must be new, unused, and of the latest models, with warranties valid for at least 12 months.
• Delivery must be made to the specified address in Pietermaritzburg, with proper documentation and compliance with all contractual and quality standards.

Skills Requirements
