Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to hire vacuum tankers (honey suckers) for a total of 100 hours, with the service to be completed by 03 October 2025. The aim is to procure reliable equipment to support the City of uMhlathuze's operational needs across various sites in Richards Bay and Empangeni.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Provision of honey sucker vacuum tankers for a total of 100 hours.
• Services to be rendered across multiple sites within Richards Bay and Empangeni.
• The service provider must be readily available as and when required.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that:

• Suppliers must be registered with the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provide the CSD number.
• Suppliers must submit a Letter of Good Standing.
• The quotation must be completed in black ink; pencil submissions are not accepted.
• Alterations on the quotation must be signed by the bidder to be valid.
• All services must meet the specified delivery address: Supply Chain Management Unit, End of Betastraal, Alton, Richards.

Skills and Certification Requirements

Suppliers must provide the following documents to confirm their eligibility and compliance:

• Tax Compliance Certificate
• Certificate of Good Standing with the Compensation Fund (for both principal and subcontractors)
• Proof of registration on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD)
• Signed quotation and any alterations
• Relevant health and SHE (Safety, Health, Environment) certificates if applicable
• For catering or other specific services, additional health certificates may be required

Additionally, bidders should be prepared to demonstrate compliance with preferential procurement points, including ownership and management by South Africans, women, youth, and disabled persons, supported by relevant proof.
