Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to hire a refuse compactor truck for a period of twenty (20) days to service various areas within the Ba-Phalaborwa Municipality.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply and provision of a refuse compactor truck capable of performing waste collection services across multiple municipal areas for a duration of twenty days.

Technical Requirements

• The service provider must supply a functional refuse compactor truck suitable for municipal waste collection.
• The truck must be available for a continuous period of twenty days.
• The delivery period must be clearly indicated and adhered to.
• The provider must be registered with the Central Supplier Database (CSD).
• The provider must possess a valid Tax Clearance Pin.
• The provider must submit a completed MBD4 (Declaration of Interest) form.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

• The service provider should be a registered business with the necessary compliance documentation.
• The provider should demonstrate capacity to supply a suitable refuse compactor truck within the specified timeframe.
• Evaluation will consider ownership status, with preference given to Black-owned businesses:
  • 100% Black owned (20 points)
  • At least 51% Black owned (18 points)
  • Less than 51% Black owned (14 points)
• The provider must comply with relevant legislation, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (Act 4 of 2013) and the Promotion of Access to Information Act (Act 2 of 2000).
