Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure honey-based ointments containing 48% honey, aloe barbadensis, and calendula officinal for use at Grey's Hospital under the Department of Health in KwaZulu-Natal. The procurement aims to ensure the supply of quality medicinal ointments that meet specified standards and specifications, supporting healthcare delivery within the province.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes:

• Supply of 10 boxes of honey-based ointments, each box containing 8 tubes of 500g each, totaling 80 tubes.
• Provision of ointments that conform to detailed specifications, including ingredients and packaging requirements.
• Delivery of the ointments to Grey's Hospital at the specified tender box location before the closing date and time.
• Compliance with all administrative, technical, and legal requirements as outlined in the tender documentation.

The procurement process encompasses evaluation of administrative compliance, capacity to deliver, adherence to specifications, price and preference points, and submission of samples where applicable.

Technical Requirements

The technical specifications for the honey-based ointment include:

• The product must be new, unused, and incorporate recent design and material improvements.
• Warranty of 12 months from delivery, covering defect repair or replacement.
• Delivery must be completed within a specified period, with all packaging and documentation in accordance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
