Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure Hydroconductive Wound Dressing with LevaFiber Technology for use in dressing wounds at Port Shepstone Hospital. The procurement aims to ensure the hospital has access to high-quality, sterile wound dressings that meet specified standards and support effective wound management.

Scope

The scope of the tender includes the supply and delivery of 100 boxes of Hydroconductive Wound Dressings with LevaFiber Technology, with sizes of 15cm x 20cm and 20cm x 1 meter rolls. The items must be sterile, individually sealed, and supplied to Port Shepstone Hospital’s SCM Department. The contract is a once-off purchase, with delivery to be made within the specified delivery period after order confirmation.

Technical Requirements

• The wound dressings must be Hydroconductive with LevaFiber Technology.
• Sizes required: 15cm x 20cm and 20cm x 1 meter rolls.
• Quantity: 10 units per box, total of 100 boxes.
• Items must be sterile, individually sealed, and have a specified shelf life.
• Compliance with SABS/SANS standards or relevant certification documentation must be provided.
• Samples may be requested for testing and evaluation.
• The products must meet the detailed specifications provided, including size, sterility, and packaging requirements.

Skills and Qualifications Requirements

• Bidder must demonstrate the ability to supply and deliver the specified wound dressings within the required timeframe.
• Bidder must provide proof of compliance with technical standards and certification (e.g., SABS/SANS).
• Bidder must hold valid licensing from the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) for manufacturing or distributing medical devices.
• Bidder should have experience in supplying medical dressings or similar healthcare products, supported by previous orders and delivery records.
• Bidder must complete all mandatory documentation, including disclosure forms and preference claim forms, and adhere to procurement policies.
