Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to conduct infrared testing on the main power supplies and kiosks at clinics under Dannhauser CHC to ensure electrical safety and compliance.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Infrared testing of main power distribution boards and kiosks at clinics, specifically including Nelliesfarm Clinic and Thandanani Clinic.
• Inspection and testing of electrical installations such as lights, socket outlets, wall heaters, ceiling fans, air conditioning units, dental chairs, purification plants, and borehole pumps.
• Testing insulation resistance, polarity, earth leakage, circuit breakers, and earth arresters.
• Issuance of Certificates of Compliance for electrical installations.
• Provision of related services such as site visits, measurements, and technical assessments.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Companies must be registered with CIDB minimum grade 1EB.
• Compliance with CSD registration and valid letter of good standing with the Department of Labour.
• Provision of proof of previous electrical infrared work done.
• Use of SABS-approved materials.
• Inspection and testing of electrical installations in accordance with South African standards (SANS 10142-1).
• Testing insulation resistance, polarity, earth leakage, and circuit protection devices.
• Issuance of Certificates of Compliance upon successful testing.

Skills Requirements

The skills and expertise required include:

• Qualified electrical contractors with registration as electrical engineers or technicians.
• Experience in electrical testing, especially infrared thermography and insulation resistance testing.
• Ability to interpret electrical standards and safety regulations.
• Competence in issuing Certificates of Compliance and technical reports.
• Availability of skilled personnel to perform site inspections, measurements, and testing procedures.
