Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure supply and delivery of injection stoppers for GJGM Regional Hospital, specifically for use in the maternity department. The aim is to ensure the hospital has reliable, sterile, and compliant injection stoppers that meet specified standards and specifications.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Supply and delivery of 2,820 units of injection stoppers.
• Provision of samples for testing if requested.
• Delivery to GJGM Regional Hospital, KwaDukuza, KwaZulu-Natal.
• Compliance with technical specifications and standards (SABS/CE/ISO).
• Adherence to procurement policies, including preference points and certification requirements.

Technical Requirements

The injection stoppers must:

• Be suitable for IV lines.
• Have a universal taper as per ISO594.
• Be latex-free.
• Be sterile and for single use only.
• Be individually packed.
• Comply with the following specifications:
• Comply with the attached detailed specifications.
• Meet quality standards: SABS, CE, ISO.
• Be packaged appropriately for transport and storage.
• Be supplied with relevant documentation and samples if requested.

Skills and Qualification Requirements

Bidders must:

• Provide proof of compliance with technical specifications, including samples if requested.
• Submit valid BBBEE certificates or affidavits for empowerment points.
• Provide SARS tax clearance certificates.
• Be registered on the Central Suppliers Database (CSD) and provide registration details.
• Possess relevant manufacturing, import, or distribution licenses issued by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA).
• Demonstrate capacity to deliver the required quantity within the specified delivery period.
• Ensure that the personnel involved have the necessary expertise and experience in medical device supply and distribution.
