Objectives

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply of 20,000 units of intravenous catheters with introducer needles (24G), conforming to the detailed specifications provided. The procurement is a once-off contract, with a validity period of 90 days from the date of advertisement, and delivery is to be made to Northdale Hospital’s designated tender box. The tender includes compliance with technical, quality, and regulatory standards, and adherence to procurement policies.

Technical Requirements

• Item Description: Intravenous catheter with introducer needle, 24G, yellow color, sterile, radiopaque, not made with natural latex.
• Brand: Jelco (only Jelco brand quotes will be accepted due to product use considerations).
• Quantity: 20,000 units.
• Standards: Must conform to specified SABS or SANAS approved standards.
• Packaging: Appropriate packaging to prevent damage during transit, with clear markings and documentation as per specifications.
• Delivery: To be completed within the delivery period specified by the bidder, with all necessary shipping and customs documentation.
• Warranty: Goods must be new, unused, and free from defects, with a warranty period of 12 months post-delivery.
