Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to appoint a service provider to deliver gardening maintenance services at Scottburgh Magistrate Court for a duration of 36 months. The goal is to ensure the court premises are properly maintained, safe, and aesthetically pleasing throughout the contract period.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Provision of gardening maintenance services for 36 months.
• Supply of gardening consumables, equipment, and related materials.
• Management of personnel involved in gardening activities, including supervision and adherence to health and safety standards.
• Provision of necessary tools, machinery, and chemicals required for effective gardening maintenance.
• Compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and departmental policies.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements encompass:

• Completion of the Bill of Quantities and adherence to specified rates for salaries, consumables, equipment, and other related costs.
• Provision of all necessary materials, equipment, and chemicals, including petrol, oils, weed killers, and gardening tools.
• Implementation of health and safety protocols, including security clearance and safety signage.
• Provision of qualified and experienced personnel, with proof of competence and adherence to statutory minimum wages.
• Submission of detailed programmes and cash flow forecasts for the delivery of services.
• Compliance with environmental and health regulations, including proper handling of chemicals and waste.
• Adherence to the specified contract duration and scope of work as per the tender documentation.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must demonstrate:

• Experience in providing gardening and maintenance services, preferably in a government or institutional setting.
• Knowledge of applicable legislation such as the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other relevant regulations.
• Capability to supply and operate gardening machinery and equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
• Ability to manage and supervise personnel, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and reporting on maintenance activities.
• Provision of proof of tax compliance, registration on the Central Supplier Database, and BBBEE accreditation.
• Ability to provide quality assurance and meet the specified service levels throughout the contract period.
