Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure labels for sterile diluents, including various sizes and specifications, to ensure proper identification, compliance, and quality assurance for the products supplied by Onderstepoort Biological Products Ltd.

Scope

The scope encompasses the supply of:

• 50 ML sterile diluent labels (Item code: BL 006/50) – 50,000 units
• 2.5 ML sterile diluent labels (Item code: BL 011S) – 60,000 units
• 100 ML sterile diluent labels (Item code: BL 006) – 100,000 units

All labels must meet detailed specifications regarding size, color, print process, packaging, and conformance documentation as outlined in the supplier specifications.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Label dimensions and design specifications, including size, color Pantone references, and print process (ABG Cutt + Varnish).
• Labels must include supplier name, address, batch details, storage temperature (2-8°C), and other relevant information.
• Labels should be printed on flexible rectangles, with specific roll directions (right edge leading), and quantities per roll (e.g., 3000 or 5000 labels per roll).
• Labels must be shrink-wrapped, with a Certificate of Conformance signed by the supplier, indicating batch number, specifications, and test results.
• Labels must be approved by QA before printing, with uncut draw sheets submitted for final approval.
• Labels must specify storage conditions and special requirements such as company identification.

Skills and Competency Requirements

Suppliers must demonstrate:

• Previous experience supplying similar labels, evidenced by stamped invoices, delivery notes, or reference letters within the past 24 months.
• Registration and compliance with South African regulations, including a current CSD report (not older than 2 months).
• Completion of necessary documentation such as SBD1 (for international companies) and SBD4 declaration, ensuring transparency and compliance.
• Capability to produce labels meeting detailed technical specifications, including Pantone color matching, print quality, and packaging standards.
• Quality assurance processes, including signing Certificates of Conformance and adherence to specified testing and approval procedures.
