Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to secure services for the maintenance of building infrastructure at Dr Pixley Ka Isaka Seme Memorial Hospital. The scope includes preventive maintenance, repairs, replacements, and restoration of various infrastructural elements across multiple units within the hospital to ensure operational efficiency and safety.

Scope

The scope encompasses:

• Preventive and corrective maintenance of hospital infrastructure including water ingress repairs, ceiling replacements, door sensors, flooring, and external decking support.
• Specific repairs in the Infectious Disease Unit, Neonatal Unit, and Hospital Street areas.
• Provision of trade test certificates and evidence of proven track record for similar works.
• Restoration of infrastructure damaged during works to original condition, including walls, ceilings, and finishes.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• Compliance with the detailed specifications provided for each unit, such as water ingress prevention, ceiling repairs, flooring replacements, and external decking.
• Provision of trade test certificates for shopfitter, carpentry, and tiler trades.
• Evidence of previous similar work, including signed work completion certificates and order references.
• Adherence to national standards (e.g., National Building Standards, SANS 10400).
• Restoration of all infrastructure to original condition post-repair, with approval from the Chief Artisan.

Skills Requirements

The skills and qualifications required include:

• Trade test certificates for shopfitter, carpentry, and tiler trades.
• Proven track record in installation and repair of vinyl flooring and decking.
• Experience in building, shopfitting, and carpentry works, supported by previous orders and work certificates.
• Ability to restore infrastructure to original condition, including walls and ceilings, with quality standards compliance.
