Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure services for the major and minor maintenance of laundry equipment at Mosvold Hospital. The aim is to ensure the proper functioning, longevity, and optimal performance of laundry machinery through scheduled servicing, repairs, and technical support.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Providing major and minor servicing of specified laundry equipment, including washing machines, tumble dryers, sluicing machines, and other related machinery.
• Carrying out scheduled maintenance as per the predefined schedule (e.g., major service due in May 2026, minor service in November 2026).
• Submitting detailed reports of services performed, signed job cards, and signed schedules.
• Reporting any equipment malfunctions or issues before and after service.
• Cleaning and removing fluff from machines' interiors and exteriors.
• Providing necessary documentation such as invoices, service reports, and signed job cards for payment processing.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements include:

• CIDB registration as Electrical (EB) or Mechanical (ME) contractor.
• Valid B-BBEE certificate and Tax Clearance Certificate.
• Certified copies of qualified Electrician or Mechanic not older than 3 months.
• Letter of good standing.
• Provision of detailed reports and signed job cards post-service.
• Adherence to the specified scope of work, including servicing listed equipment as per specifications.
• Compliance with safety, quality standards, and hospital-specific requirements.

Skills Requirements

The successful bidder must possess:

• Qualified and certified Electricians or Mechanical Technicians with relevant experience in laundry equipment maintenance.
• Technical expertise in servicing, repairing, and maintaining laundry machinery such as washing machines, tumble dryers, sluicing machines, compressors, and related equipment.
• Ability to produce detailed service reports, signed job cards, and signed schedules.
• Knowledge of hospital safety protocols and equipment standards.
• Capacity to respond promptly to service requests and equipment malfunctions.
• Compliance with CIDB registration and relevant legislation for electrical and mechanical contractors.
