Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a Major Service for UPS systems at Hlabisa Hospital to ensure reliable power backup and operational continuity across critical hospital departments such as theatre, nursery, high care, and emergency services.

Scope

The scope includes the provision of comprehensive maintenance and servicing of UPS units located at various hospital departments, including:

• Theatre (Type-EATON 9130 6KVA, Model PW9130i6000T-XL)
• Theatre No. 1 (Type EATON 6KVA, Serial No. PL125A8750)
• Theatre No. 3 (Type EATON 6KVA, Serial No. GG114A0013)
• A&E (Model GP-808)
• High Care (Part No. 1108C)
• Nursery (details not fully visible)

The service includes testing, battery maintenance, cleaning, and ensuring the UPS systems are fully operational to prevent power failures during critical hospital operations.

Technical Requirements

• Provision of major servicing for UPS units as per specifications attached.
• Compliance with the detailed specifications including size, colour, material, and performance standards.
• Completion of service reports, test procedures, and certification of maintenance activities.
• Use of approved spare parts, tools, and consumables during servicing.
• Adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards specified by the hospital.
• Provision of after-service reports, invoices, and relevant documentation for payment processing.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified technicians with valid CIDB 1 EB/EP contractor registration.
• Certified artisans with relevant experience in UPS maintenance and servicing.
• Knowledge of Eaton UPS systems and associated components.
• Ability to conduct comprehensive testing, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of UPS units.
• Capability to prepare detailed service reports, maintenance certificates, and compliance documentation.
• Understanding of hospital safety protocols and environmental standards.
• Proven track record in servicing critical healthcare equipment.
