Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a major service for window actuators at Hlabisa Hospital. The service aims to ensure the proper functioning, safety, and compliance of window actuators, including testing, inspection, issuing fire certificates, and ensuring safety standards are met.

Scope

The scope of work includes:

• Testing window actuators to ensure they operate correctly in case of fire (for 29 windows).
• Testing control panels (3 units) and fireman switches (3 units).
• Testing batteries associated with the system.
• Issuing fire safety certificates post-inspection.
• Reporting at maintenance and completing relevant documentation and registers.

The service provider must have valid CIDB 1 ME contractor registration, be registered with the Central Supplier Database, and provide proof of previous experience (completion certificates). The service includes reporting, documentation, and compliance with safety standards.

Technical Requirements

• Perform functional testing of 29 window actuators to confirm operational safety in fire scenarios.
• Test control panels and fireman switches (3 each).
• Test batteries associated with the system.
• Issue fire certificates confirming system safety and compliance.
• Provide detailed reports of the service, including test results and certificates.
• Ensure all activities comply with safety standards and relevant legislation.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified CIDB 1 ME contractor with experience in fire safety systems and window actuator testing.
• Proficiency in testing and inspecting fire safety and automation systems.
• Ability to produce detailed technical reports and certificates.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to fire systems and building safety.
• Experience in handling dangerous gases and safety certificates (if applicable).
