Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a major service for window actuators at Hlabisa Hospital, ensuring that the actuators function properly, are tested, and certified for safety, particularly for fire safety compliance. The service aims to maintain the operational integrity of window actuators, test associated control panels and batteries, and issue necessary fire certificates to ensure safety standards are met.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Testing of 29 window actuators to ensure proper operation in case of fire.
• Testing of three control panels and three fireman switches.
• Testing of batteries associated with the system.
• Issuance of fire safety certificates.
• Reporting at the Maintenance department and completing relevant documentation.
• Providing after-service reports, invoices, and relevant certificates.

The service provider must have valid CIDB 1 ME contractor registration, be registered with the Central Supplier Data Base (CSD), and provide proof of previous experience and good standing. The service involves testing, inspection, and certification activities at the hospital premises.

Technical Requirements

• Service must include testing of 29 window actuators for fire safety functionality.
• Testing of control panels (X3), fireman switches (X3), and batteries.
• Issuance of fire certificates confirming system safety.
• Provision of reports detailing the testing outcomes.
• Compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
• Attachment of relevant certificates such as CIDB, good standing, and previous project completion certificates.
• Adherence to specifications attached in the procurement documentation.

Skills Requirements

• Qualified CIDB 1 ME contractor with experience in fire safety systems and window actuator testing.
• Proficiency in testing and inspecting electrical and mechanical components of window actuators and control systems.
• Ability to produce technical reports and certificates compliant with safety standards.
• Experience in handling dangerous gases and safety certificates where applicable.
• Capability to complete documentation, including after-service reports, invoices, and certificates.
• Knowledge of hospital safety protocols and fire safety certification procedures.
