Objectives

The primary objective of this tender is to procure a major service of infrared testing for Mbongolwane Hospital and associated clinics. The service aims to assess and maintain the integrity of electrical distribution boards and related infrastructure, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with technical standards.

Scope

The scope includes:

• Performing infrared testing on the distribution boards at Mbongolwane Hospital and various clinics and facilities listed in the documentation.
• Inspecting the labeling and condition of distribution boards and kiosks.
• Providing a comprehensive written report with color photographs, recommendations, and calibration test certificates.
• Testing and servicing the distribution boards as per the scope outlined, including fault finding and reporting.

Technical Requirements

The technical requirements specify that the service provider must:

• Hold proof of registration with Infrared certification CIDB EB 2 Grade or above.
• Be registered on the Central Supplier Data Base (CSD).
• Possess a valid tax clearance certificate.
• Provide proof of qualified artisan trade test, Certificate of Compliance (COC), and experience in similar jobs.
• Be registered with the KZN electrical board.
• Submit a letter of good standing.
• Attach three copies of completion certificates for similar projects.
• Deliver a detailed report with color photographs, calibration certificates, and recommendations.
• Ensure calibration of equipment used for testing.

Skills Requirements

The service provider must demonstrate:

• Technical expertise in infrared thermography and electrical fault detection.
• Qualified artisans with trade test certification and relevant experience.
• Ability to produce detailed, color photographic reports with clear fault identification and recommendations.
• Competence in testing, servicing, and calibration of infrared testing equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical safety standards and compliance requirements.
